"The CINA patient recommendation report helps primary care physicians do a better job. For the first time since we have been using the EMR, the [EMR] system is finally giving something back to the physician."
Colleen Conry, MD
Department of Family Medicine
University of Colorado Denver
CINA's Clinical Decision Support Tool empowers providers to transform a routine acute care appointment into an effective and efficient disease management and prevention visit. Central to this process is the CINA Protocol Engine, which compares standardized patient data against a knowledge base of nationally recognized guidelines to produce concise, pertinent, and patient-specific recommendations at the time of the patient encounter.
Using the CINA Point of Care Decision Support in conjunction with the practice EMR provides the process necessary for pro-actively managing both health and disease through state-of-the-art clinical decision support and evidence-based care.
Practices using the CINA Point of Care Decision Support Tool realize increased per visit revenue from attending to necessary procedures and screenings- most of which are billable, collectible, and in accordance with national guidelines. Additionally, practices generate revenue for appropriate patient recall visits, participation in performance-based reimbursement programs and participation in comparative effectiveness research.
CINA's Point of Care Decision Support Tool enables providers, clinical staff, and practice administrators an efficient process for managing quality care activities. Easily integrated into the workflow of most practices, the Point of Care Report effectively leverages provider time, engages non-provider staff in more active participation in the care process, and supports efforts towards becoming a Patient-Centered Medical Home.

The CINA Technology, including the CINA Mapper, CINA CDR, and CINA Protocol Engine, work together seamlessly in conjunction with the practice's existing software to create real-time and real-world solutions to care delivery in the ambulatory practice setting. One of CINA's unique offerings is the ability to pull data from virtually any EMR or other data source and standardize the information.
CINA works with many EMR's and is continually adding to its library of EMR's supported. Please view our list of Supported EMR's.
