The CINA Quality Suite is built on a foundation of innovative technology that acquires, aggregates and standardizes clinical and administrative data into a format designed for meaningful use and informed decision making. Central to the CINA technology are the CINA Mapper™, CINA CDR™ and CINA Protocol Engine™. 

 
 
The CINA Mapper™ allows for the capture and standardization of both administrative and clinical data from the multiple locations and in multiple formats typically found within electronic data sources. Most practices have wide variation in the way clinical data is entered into the EMR, thus making it difficult for the reporting and reminder systems within the EMR to function appropriately. With the exception of pure free text data entry, CINA can find and standardize data regardless of where it is located in the EMR, in most cases, giving practices the ability to utilize this valuable information while allowing provider documentation behavior to remain variable.
 
 
Data standardized in the mapping process is imported into the CINA CDR™ (Clinical Data Repository). Updated nightly, the CINA CDR is never more than 24 hours old thus allowing for real-time delivery of information. Additionally, because all of the CINA reporting processes function against the CINA CDR, both patient specific and population level reports can be generated throughout the workday without impacting the live production server or EMR responsiveness.
 
 
Partnering with CINA is very easy on the practice IT staff. All of the CINA technology resides completely within the practice environment and under the control of the practice. Using remote access, CINA is able to install, implement and support its tools with very little impact on the practice IT staff. CINA provides a PC or server (depending on practice size) as part of the set up cost, thus requiring no additional hardware or software investment by the practice.
